Directory Guidelines
What belongs on Pinoy App, and how we keep the community healthy.
Pinoy App exists to celebrate real products built by Filipino makers. These guidelines keep the directory useful for everyone — makers, testers, and folks just browsing for their next favorite app.
What gets listed
- Apps built by Filipino makers or teams — solo devs, barkada side projects, and startups are all welcome.
- A working product people can actually try. Waitlists are fine; vaporware is not.
- Your own work. You must own the app or have permission from the team to submit it.
Quality bar
- No scams, thin clones, or anything that ships malware. One strike and the listing is gone.
- Claims must be accurate — describe what your app does today, not what it might do someday.
- Listing content (name, tagline, screenshots) should be family-friendly. Titos and titas browse here too.
Voting and comments
- No vote rings, bots, or paid upvotes. Earned upvotes mean more anyway.
- Be constructive in comments. Honest critique helps makers grow; pile-ons do not.
- Disclose if you are reviewing your own app or a friend's. It builds trust.
Enforcement
Listings that violate these guidelines may be edited or delisted, and repeat offenders can lose posting privileges. If you think we got it wrong, we're human — appeal through the contact page and we'll take a second look.
