Listing Best Practices
How to make your Pinoy App listing pull its weight.
A great listing is the difference between a scroll-past and a try-it-now. These are the habits we see in the listings that keep climbing the charts.
Nail the tagline
- One punchy sentence that says what the app does and who it's for. “Budget tracker for jeepney-commuting freelancers” beats “A revolutionary finance solution” every time.
- Skip the buzzwords. If your lola wouldn't get it, rewrite it.
Let screenshots do the talking
- Your first screenshot should tell the whole story — the core screen, with real-looking data, doing the thing your tagline promises.
- Order the rest like a mini demo: problem, action, result.
Show up in the comments
- Reply fast, especially in the first 48 hours after launch. An active maker signals an alive product.
- Thank people for bug reports — every one is free QA.
Keep shipping, keep telling
- Update your listing when you ship something new. A changelog note in the description shows momentum.
- Ask early users for honest reviews — honest, not five-star-only. Balanced reviews convert better than a suspicious wall of perfect scores.
Localize where it helps
If your audience is local, write like it. Taglish is absolutely welcome here — “Track mo ang gastos mo” lands differently than a stiff translation. Localize screenshots too if your app supports Filipino; it tells local users the app was made with them in mind.
